From careers in Major League Baseball and medicine to the rural fields of Greene County, Alabama, Sam and Kristen Marsonek have followed an unexpected, faith-driven path — one that has turned personal setbacks into a powerful community mission.

They moved from Tampa to the quiet countryside to run Baseball Country, a haven where kids find mentorship, hope, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s through sports, outdoor ministries, or simply witnessing a strong family unit, the Marsoneks offer a holistic model of love and leadership..
